Free Tax Preparation

The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program offers free tax preparation to families across the country, generally with incomes below $49,000. Chelsea Neighborhood Developers is offering this service at locations in Chelsea and Revere starting in January 2012. All volunteers receive training and must pass a certification exam by the IRS.

CND is proud to announce that this year we will be able to extend our free tax services to immigrants who possess an Individual Tax Identification Number (ITIN). For more about the ITIN process, and who should file using an ITIN please visit the IRS's webpage here.
