Revitalizing Neighborhoods

 

CND seeks to facilitate neighborhood planning to create healthy neighborhoods in targeted areas of Chelsea. We are developing a long range plan for the Shurtleff Bellingham area influenced by the need to focus on the many positive elements of the community while correcting the neighborhood’s problems.

Neighborhoods with an active and engaged citizenry are able to manage community issues when they arise. Through our NeighborCircles and Neighborhood Planning activities, we are demonstrating that together, neighbors and community institutions can get things done. Through the development of community networks within the Shurtleff Bellingham neighborhood, CND seeks to improve the political clout in the neighborhood as residents begin to understand their rights and also their responsibilities as residents of Chelsea.
