Residential Skill and Asset Building
CND believes Resident Assets include financial resources, education, and other skills that serve to increase household wealth. We support residents own efforts to increase economic opportunity for themselves, their families, and their communities by providing programs that serve everyone – from a recent immigrant who wants to learn more about the financial systems in the U.S. to a life-long Chelsea resident who want to invest in a home for their family.

The goals of Resident Asset Development are two-fold:
- Income: To provide individuals and families with the opportunities to meaningfully increase their incomes
- Assets: To help individuals and families gain the financial assets that support long-term economic security
To that end, several program components are in place: financial literacy training, Individual Development Accounts that encourage individuals to save for homeownership, student loans or small business development, and peer support sessions.
