Neighborhood Planning

CND partners with city government and other stakeholders to improve the neighborhood infrastructure and housing stock.  The Community Engagement Program ensures that residents help envision a new future for and have a say over what happens to their neighborhood.

To create the North Bellingham Hill Revitalization Plan, CND partnered with the city of Chelsea and the Community Design Resource Center to host a series of four neighborhood planning charettes.  During these meetings, residents were able to see, evaluate and prioritize proposed changes in addition to making comments and suggestions, which were integrated into the final plan.  Once the final version for North Bellingham Hill Revitalization Plan was made, city leaders and Chelsea residents formally signed onto the plan to signify their support of the proposed changes.  You can download a copy of the plan here.
