Leadership Training
The presence of leadership in our community is sometimes hard to perceive. It comes in the form of the person on the block who everyone seeks advice from, a well respected and involved member at the local church or a high school student with positions of leadership at school or in athletics. Leadership comes in many different forms.
When residents become part of CND through membership, participation in a NeighborCircle, or as a board or committee member, they learn and develop leadership skills. Skills learned in the service of community, can empower an individual to take action in other aspects of their lives.
Residents that want to help improve our community and to further their leadership skills are encouraged to join CND as a member or committee member. We offer both informal and formal training opportunities. CND sends our members to formal training opportunities such as the Community Leadership Institute presented by NeighborWorks America where individuals are encouraged to examine their talents and put them to use to address broader goals.
