Position Summary:

The Financial Coach is a full-time position that is an integral member of the CONNECT team. The Financial Coach’s main responsibility will be to conduct one-on-one client centered coaching sessions – helping clients identify and articulate personal or household educational and economic goals and support clients as they develop and execute an action plan utilizing the menu of services that are available  through CONNECT.  The Financial Coach will also contribute to developing relationships with those service providers that might fall outside the direct scope of CONNECT but that can provide additional support to clients. About CONNECT

CONNECT is a new collaborative program that brings together the employment, education, housing and asset development services of Bunker Hill Community College, Career Source, Centro Latino, Chelsea Neighborhood Developers, Metro Credit Union, and Metropolitan Boston Housing Partnership to support low-income households as they move up the ladder towards economic security. The mission of CONNECT is to integrate, in one central and supportive location, resources to address the community’s financial, educational and employment needs, while nurturing social networks to provide the glue and sustenance for individual’s and family’s journey toward economic security.  CONNECT functions as a collaborative, with Chelsea Neighborhood Developers serving as the program’s Operational Partner.

 

Position Summary:

The Office Manager/Bookkeeper is a full-time position for a versatile individual with three to four years of office manager and bookkeeping experience.  The successful candidate will be responsible for day-to-day office system organization and bookkeeping.  Responsible for daily financial activities and smooth office operations for a busy office, staffed with 16 employees.  The Office Manager/Bookkeeper enters accounting data into the system and performs routine bookkeeping duties under the direction of the CFO, and oversees office operations, including establishing and managing systems and equipment, human resource functions that are supported by an outside vendor, and supervises receptionist. Strong communication skills, Accounting software experience, Peachtree preferred, Microsoft Office, ability to identify the need for, establish, and maintain administrative systems, demonstrated record of accuracy and efficiency, ability to work independently on multiple projects with minimal supervision. Flexibility, sense of humor and Bi-lingual English-Spanish a big plus.
